Many of you might not heard of Von or you may have seen his paintings and did not know who the artist was.
Von was a very prolific artist (over 800 paintings by 1999) he was also very flexible in composition as well. He could render traditional Fine art portraits and scenes to full on depictions of mind erasing terror!
Although he was of the same time period of Frank Frazetta and Boris Vallejo, unfortunately he never received the same recognition. He did however, accomplish many, many fantastic plateau's during his life.
I only knew Von for about four years, but we hit it off immediately, we had many things in common both professionally and personally. We held conversations for hours at a time, this might have been because we are both soft spoken and couldn't hear each other, or we just had a lot to say, it was the later!
I had the honor of showing some of his original paintings at the gallery we owned in Englewood, Colorado in 1999, I have included a link to the images of the painting on display at that time below.
